Entrainment is the phenomenon in which vibrations are used to shift the vibrations of something else. With entrainment, the powerful vibrations of one object actually change the vibrations of another object, causing the second to lock in step or synchronize with the first one. This is exactly what we experience when we use the tuning forks or Singing Bowl on the physical body.

The Power of Sound

Sound Healing Session

I have always been very intrigued by sounds and the connection they always had in my being.

So, when I started working with energy healing, more than 14 years ago I started exploring sounds and healing. First experimenting with Tibetan Singing Bowls-mostly with the OM sound- then tuning forks, then Crystal Singing Bowls, Gong, ocean drum, rain stick, and a few more.

I was absolutely amazed by the results! Especially when after sound, silence followed. There is the “gap”. Dr. Wayne Dyer wrote a whole book about it “Getting in the Gap”. He says about the importance of practices such as meditation or sound (mantra, chanting) to get in the gap “

“Staying in the Gap helps us to experience the benefits of less stress,
more peace, less fatigue, more energy. We also look younger and
happier. Most significantly, we make
conscious contact with God, the source of all energy. Sound accesses the dimension between the spiritual and the
physical. “

It is undeniable that the stress level amongst us all has been increasing exponentially, sadly spreading to our children. We cannot protect them if we, ourselves, do not have healthy coping skills and practices to turn off the loud and toxic voice from the world outside and tune in to recalibrate and listen to the voice of reason, within.

Jonathan Goldman, one of the greatest healing sound experts, and pioneers in the field says: “The

ancient mystery schools that existed thousands of years ago in Rome, Athens, Egypt, India, China, and Tibet had vast knowledge of the power of sound to heal. The various writings which have survived from those times indicate that in those schools, the use of sound as a therapeutic tool was a highly developed spiritual science, based upon the understanding that vibration was the fundamental creative force of the universe.

For those of you that have experienced sessions with me know exactly what it feels like to have the vibration of tuning forks penetrating the body and balancing energies, and also the incredible “melting ” feeling of a Tibetan Singing Bowl placed on the body and the deep and profound relaxation that it creates, right?

You are probably thinking of the many ways sound influences you. Yes, music does. The kind of music, the beat, the words, and the energy projected by those creating it. Yes, all influence us in a deep and profound way. It might be easy to understand why people during anger and rage -consciously known or unknown to the person- might look for music that matches the vibration they feel, or those in great sadness or happiness might look for matching vibrations. Last year after I lost my dad, during the heaviest part of my grieving, I caught myself looking for the songs that not only reminded me of him but the ones that cried his absence. It did help me to allow the sadness to be expressed fully. However, it is important to practice the balance, and how to return to the center after spells of extreme emotions. Sounds- meditation, chanting, bija mantras- are amazing to help us navigate those extremes.

This is just a tiny bit of information on the use of sound for healing.

So, if you are wanting to calibrate your energy with the electromagnetic field of Earth, the Schumann Resonance is for you- for all of us. The Gaia tuning forks help us with that. To balance the left and right hemispheres of the brain and the chakras, the DnA tuning forks are great for it. It has the ratio (space between two sounds) of phi -which is based on the Fibonacci series, so prevalent in Nature. And there is so much more sounds, silence, chanting, humming can do for us. I will write more on other blogs. Meanwhile, be curious, research, have fun with sounds, journal your experience with music, with beats, with silence. Within us, there is an unforeseen, powerful force that when we are able to calibrate and reconnect with it, we can truly move mountains. Let’s use it!

Vitruvian Man by Leonardo da Vinci – phi ration everywhere in Nature and the human body
How about this beauty? Romanesco Cauliflower – do you see the pattern?
Now you see why the homework is holly? Know thyself, love yourself, understand yourself- the phi ratio as a blueprint

Now, at the studio, you can purchase Jonathan Goldman’s tuning forks. For years, many clients have asked me where to get them and which ones. Now that the studio is set to carry healing tools, I am glad to share the news with you.
